At the JEC we grow at our own pace. We guide and encourage all children according to personal developmental growth. In our classrooms we create a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest friends to reach milestones and explore the world around us. Our programs run year-round with various services for children ages 3 months through 15 years. Our regular hours are from 8:30am-5:30pm with Early Care available from 7:30am-8:30.
Kindergarten readiness begins at birth. We focus on social-emotional learning, communication, language, gross and fine physical activity, and cognitive development. Children take part in cooking, nature walks, science, art projects, culture, and music. By the time they graduate from the JEC children have been exposed to ready to concepts in early literacy, mathematics, and physical science. Children gain skills in both personal care and being considerate of others around them.
Each day our JEC Community meets together to welcome the day. We might sing a morning song, or learn the Hebrew words that best describe the daily weather. We may celebrate a holiday, like Hanukkah or Thanksgiving. We fill the rest of day with creative play, fun problem solving, art exploration, nature and science, playground activities, language and literacy or story time.
Children ages 3-5 years enjoy creating social and academic success in our part-time kindergarten readiness program. This program follows the ASD calendar and will be closed on ASD in-service days, early release days, holidays, and breaks. Call today to reserve your child's spot in the part time program!
"My two year old daughter enjoys her time at the JEC so much she often asks me to leave her there when I come to pick her up. She has learned a lot and obviously feels her teachers care about her. When I pick her up and drop her off I see kids singing, dancing, laughing, and practicing skills that they feel proud of accomplishing. We are very happy to be a part of this community and so glad to have a place to leave our little girl where we know she is safe and doesn't miss us!'
